Independent development of optical fiber slip rings provides solutions for optoelectronic integrated slip ring

Since the advent of fiber optic communication, it has been widely used in various fields due to its outstanding performance. In conventional fiber optic communication, optical signals are transmitted statically through optical cables, and their transmission distance is affected by single-mode or multi-mode optical fibers. However, with the widespread application of fiber optic technology in traditional manufacturing and other industrial equipment, there is an increasing demand for dynamic transmission scenarios, such as 360°-rotating optical signal transmission. In such cases, optical fiber slip rings become an essential component to support optical signal transmission. Similar to traditional electrical slip rings, optical fiber slip rings consist of a rotor and a stator. The difference is that the stator of the optical fiber slip ring is made with a contactless structure that includes prisms or other optical elements responsible for transmitting signals from the rotor end to the stator end. When integrated with electrical slip rings or pneumatic slip rings, optoelectronic integrated slip rings have the combined ability to transmit power, electrical signals, pneumatic signals and optical signals. This integrated solution is very popular in the manufacturing industry and other traditional industries.

For example, LPC-12YT-0405-FO01 is a relatively simple product with 4 channels for 5A current paths and 1 single-mode optical fiber slip ring. On the other hand, LPC-05-1102-HD 01-FO01 is more complex and integrates 5 channels for 5A current paths, 11 channels for 2A current paths, and 1 channel of HD-SDI high-definition signal transmission, and the optical fiber slip ring in this model is also a single-mode product. These new products further expand JINPAT’s product line, meeting the diverse needs of different customers.
