By now, JINPAT Electronics has extensive experience in manufacturing single-mode fiber optic swivel joints within 5 channels and multi-mode optical slip rings within 10 channels. Fiber optic rotary joints have entered many electromechanical systems, but for those with more complex structure and functions, an integrated solution is needed. JINPAT is ready to provide an integrated solution for current collectors, allowing hybrid transmission of power, electrical and optical signals.
Integration as such is very much in demand in offshore engineering. Consider a high volume example. The JINPAT LPA000-0250-FO04 is a high current, high energy capacity current collector. The rated current of a single channel is 50 A at an operating voltage of 4000 V. This high power integrated current collector has a frame design. In order to ensure high operating voltages while guaranteeing insulation, the space between the rings must be wide enough, so this current collector model has a relatively large volume. As for the optical module, there is a 4-channel single-mode fiber optic swivel connection to allow optical signals to pass through. This slip ring model is mainly installed in marine winches.
Another very practical integrated slip ring for marine engineering equipment is the JINPAT LPA000-1484-FO04-EX. You can see from the coding that this is an explosion-proof slip ring. There are 14 84A power channels in the electrical module, and the operating voltage is comparatively lower than the LPA000-0250-FO04, which is 3700V. This slip-ring current collector model is designed for ROVs of offshore platforms. The power module provides the robot drive, and the optical module functions to transmit optical signals.
