In the future, the exploration and use of the oceans will undoubtedly become the main trend of human economic activity, which makes some predict that the 21st century will be the century of ocean exploration. As we all know, ocean exploration depends on various specialized equipment, among which conductive slip rings play a crucial role. As a world-famous manufacturer of conductive slip rings, JINPAT has developed various types of conductive slip rings for marine equipment.

Based on the current level of engineering technology, human activities in ocean exploration can be divided into several main types: marine fisheries, marine energy exploration and exploitation, marine wind and tidal energy development, deep-sea reliability, and deep-sea exploration. Taking marine fisheries as an example, in addition to various types of fishing vessels, marine aquaculture is also very popular around the world. In the context of coastal fisheries and aquaculture, special conductive slip rings are needed for underwater robotic systems and underwater monitoring equipment reels. These products, based on the slip ring housings supplied by JINPAT, include high-protection conductive slip rings and high-tech optoelectric integrated slip rings.

Compared with the fishing scenario, the conductive slip rings used in the marine energy industry are much more complex. Taking offshore oil drilling platforms as an example, they require different equipment that uses conductive slip rings. The conductive slip rings used on different equipment vary greatly. For example, deck cranes require conductive slip rings with high capacity, which also need to meet the explosion-proof requirements set by national standards for offshore oil drilling platforms. In addition to drilling platforms, the slip rings embedded in the mooring systems of offshore refineries and FPSOs are also high-tech products.

Deep-sea exploration equipment mainly uses integrated conductive slip rings. They are usually installed in the control centers of research vessels to transmit signals and power between deep-sea detectors and the mother ship. The signal modules in these integrated conductive slip rings usually use multi-channel fiber optic slip rings, and single-mode fiber optic slip rings are used for long-distance signal transmission. Similarly, to transmit electrical power to a depth of several kilometers in deep-sea areas, the operating voltage of the conductive slip rings also needs to be relatively high. This design greatly reduces the current passing through the conductive slip rings.
