Pan and zoom cameras are used in CCTV systems that can capture detailed information and events at the scene. Generally speaking, this process is achieved through the interaction of one master camera that monitors a wider range of terrain and sends location information to the slave camera for further detail capture. In this type of application, slip rings are installed to allow the camera head to move while transmitting the signal between the two cameras and also back to the processing center.
