Description
A slip ring can be used in any electromechanical system that requires unrestrained, continuous rotation when transferring power or data from a fixed to a rotating structure. A slip ring is also referred to as a rotating electrical interface, manifold, pivot, or commutator. A slip ring can improve system performance by simplifying operations and eliminating damage to wires hanging from moving connections.
The LPR-6H series high current slip rings provide space for routing hydraulics, pneumatics or concentric shaft mounting. The LPR-6H uses advanced fibre brush technology that offers a number of advantages over conventional slip rings, including multiple contact points per brush bundle, low contact force per fibre and low contact wear rate. In addition, fibre brushes require no lubrication and produce virtually no debris when worn.
