And in construction machines, slip rings are indispensable parts. As a pioneer in slip ring manufacturing, JINPAT Electronics offers customized slip rings for construction machines for both offshore platforms and onshore environments. JINPAT has many models of slip rings that have received patents.
For onshore applications, there are other small/medium sized devices in addition to winches and grapples. The function, appearance, weight of these machines vary greatly and therefore the required swivel connections and slip rings also differ. For most transportation devices, the slip rings have the same operating voltage – 24 VAC. The current capacity of each channel is maintained at 40A. In comparison, slip rings for marine applications typically operate on circuits with voltages in excess of 390VAC, and the capacity of each channel exceeds 50A.
Different voltage and current capacities also mean that the size and structure of the respective slip rings will differ. For ground transportation equipment, most models are based on slip rings with through holes. One typical application example is the custom-made JINPAT slip ring with through-hole for a fire truck. As for offshore and marine construction machinery, slip rings are typically hollow and hulled, which can provide better protection for the slip ring assembly. The latter type of slip ring is also maintenance-free, high power and long service life.
Also for construction machines, both offshore and onshore construction machines, further integration is possible depending on actual needs.
