A slip ring can be used in any electromechanical system that requires unrestrained, continuous rotation when transferring power or data from a fixed to a rotating structure. A slip ring is also referred to as a rotary electrical interface, manifold, pivot, or commutator. A slip ring can improve system performance by simplifying operations and eliminating damage-prone wires hanging from moving connections.

An unobstructed 70mm diameter through hole provides space for routing hydraulics, pneumatics or for a

concentric shaft mounting. The LPT070 uses our fiber brush technology, which offers several advantages over conventional slip rings, including multiple contact points per brush bundle, low contact force per fiber, and low contact wear rate. In addition, fiber brushes require no lubrication and produce virtually no debris when worn. The LPT070 has serviceable brush assemblies.
