As an important component of wind turbines, the quality of slip rings determines the stability and efficiency of wind turbines. As a professional and recognized slip ring manufacturer, JINPAT has nearly 30 years of experience in developing slip rings specially designed for wind power equipment. Their R&D team has conducted special climate research and unique optimization of wind turbine slip rings under different environmental conditions, resulting in the development of a series of slip rings for wind power. Compared with collector rings used in thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants, the total power transmitted by slip rings for wind power is much smaller, but their ability to pass multiple signals is something that collector rings for large power units do not have.

For example, the wind power slip ring model LPW0580-04 S has 5 channels of 80A current and 4 signal channels with a working voltage of 400VAC. The signal channels of this wind power slip ring are used to transmit scanning signals, encoder signals, sensor signals and safety chain signals. In addition, it is equipped with a thermostat and a heater to ensure stable operation, and its protection grade is IP65, making it one of the higher protection products in JINPAT’s wind power slip ring series.

The similar model of this slip ring for wind power is LPW-0590-16S, which can transmit 180 kW of power, which is only 20 kW more than the previous model, but has up to 16 signal transmission channels, which is four times more than the previous model. This slip ring also has a high IP65 protection rating and is equipped with heating devices and a thermostat, allowing it to work for a long time in colder and harsher conditions.

JINPAT wind energy slip rings are also designed with specific operating conditions in mind, so not all wind energy slip ring models have IP65 protection rating. JINPAT also offers many models with IP54 protection rating. A typical example of such wind energy slip rings is LPW-05-S9X. Some smaller and lower power models even have IP40 protection rating. These slip rings are often made from standard cap-type slip rings, are compact in size and lightweight, and are widely used in wind-solar hybrid energy systems. A typical representative of this type is LPC-03P, which has 3 channels, each of which can transmit a maximum current of 15A.
