In various fields of marine economic development, oceanographic engineering vessels with various functions always play an important role. As a professional slip ring manufacturing enterprise, JINPAT has nearly 30 years of experience in developing rotating conductive solutions for marine engineering vessels.

Regardless of the type of vessel, if it is capable of autonomous navigation, it will usually be equipped with a navigation radar, and some even have fully movable satellite communication antennas. These common electronic systems use slip rings to ensure stable communication and data transmission. In addition to the built-in slip rings for transmitting weak electrical signals and power, the most common slip rings used on marine engineering vessels are specialized slip rings for various marine cranes and winches. This type of slip ring must withstand high current and high working voltage, and JINPAT has recently increased its production of this type of marine products.

Taking the rotary piling machine as an example, this type of high-speed piling machine usually requires several cranes and winches to be installed on the deck to lift the piles. If the crane on the deck has no rotation limit, slip rings must be installed. JINPAT has provided hundreds of solutions for this type of marine deck cranes to customers. The newly launched LPA000 series is JINPAT’s iconic slip ring products for marine cranes exported overseas.

In contrast, JINPAT has developed relatively few models of high-precision slip rings for marine winches, the most representative of which are the LPA350 and LPA340 series. Take the ALPHA 340 series for example, it is one of the few large through signal slip rings integrated into marine winches. In addition, JINPAT has also developed optoelectronic integrated slip rings for special marine winches with a working voltage of 2500V and above.

In addition to various construction machinery on the upper deck, some ocean-going engineering vessels are also equipped with electric pod thrusters to enhance their power and positioning capability. For example, China’s first jack-up and self-propelled engineering salvage vessel, Huaxianglong, is equipped with three electric pod thrusters and three bow thrusters, achieving DP2 level dynamic positioning capability at sea. Special conductive slip rings need to be installed on top of these outboard electric thrusters, and JINPAT is a professional manufacturer that can independently develop slip rings for outboard electric thrusters with a capacity of 1MW to 15MW.
