Such types of ships include luxury cruise ships, aircraft carriers, liquefied natural gas carriers, FPSOS, research vessels and other types of special ships. On these special ships, many subsystems require slip ring support. Taking the slip ring used on civil ships as an example, the slip ring used in FPSO mooring systems has the highest technical performance among traditional slip rings. They are designed to transport high-pressure flammable gases and crude oil, as well as power transmission lines of various subsea systems. Therefore, they must meet the appropriate levels of explosion protection and protection. Multiple functions mean multiple components, and the design is also very complex.

JINPAT’s most common products are various slip rings for marine cranes, which are mainly installed in the slewing system inside the deck crane. The vast majority of these slip rings are box-shaped and do not have a central through hole. According to the weight of the deck crane, these slip rings also vary in working voltage and current. In addition to high capacity, many box-type slip rings used in deck cranes are also equipped with signal modules. When designing this type of slip ring for deck crane with built-in power supply, JINPAT engineers physically isolate the signal module and high-power module by using different modules to avoid strong electrical interference.

Of course, there is a very important method to solve the signal interference problem of such large slip ring boxes, which is to replace the traditional conductive slip ring with fiber optic slip ring as the signal module. Fiber optic slip ring inherits all the characteristics of fiber optic transmission, and the interference from the strong electric field generated by the slip ring box can be completely ignored. Due to the excellent signal transmission performance of fiber optic slip ring, this type of optoelectronic integrated slip ring for marine cranes is increasingly used in JINPAT’s production line for production and design.

In addition to the most common marine cranes, many ships such as research vessels and cruise ships are now using outboard full-rotation electric thrusters. In marine full-rotation electric thrusters, slip rings are also an important component. As a professional manufacturer in the international slip ring industry, JINPAT also has strong technical strength in this field and currently has the ability to conduct research and mass production of outboard electric thrusters under 15MW. The slip ring of the pod type full-rotation electric motor is slightly different from the slip ring of the crane. Some products have more signal channels, and also have built-in gas-liquid slip rings to supply oil for lubricating the propulsion motor or gas for cooling other components.
