In the harsh marine environment, the performance of slip rings is critical to the stable operation of the equipment. Let’s take a look at some applications of conductive slip rings in marine engineering equipment. Conductive slip rings are installed on the base of small-tonnage telescopic boom cranes and on the cable reels of heavy-duty cranes on various engineering vessels. The conductive slip rings developed by JINPAT for marine cranes are of the high-current hollow shaft series. These devices have high working voltage and transmit large power. In order to adapt to various application conditions, JINPAT engineers integrate heating, cooling, or both into the products. Explosion-proof design is also added for conductive slip rings used on oil drilling platforms.
JINPAT recently developed the LPT000-0330-1605-01 E3 conductive slip ring, a high-performance product specially designed for harsh environments. It features high protection, impact resistance and corrosion resistance. The multi-functional design integrates power rings and 1000Mbps Ethernet signals, ensuring stable transmission of current, network communication data and encoder signals at the same time. The number of circuits, power and signal types can be customized according to customer requirements. It is suitable for harsh environments such as offshore, shipbuilding, oil drilling and chemical industry.
