The slip ring is an important component of electromechanical equipment that provides 360° rotation to transmit electric power, electric signals, optical signals, compressed air, liquids and other media. The names of slip rings vary depending on the medium to be transmitted. For example, fiber optic slip rings are specially designed for transmitting optical signals and require excellent optical performance. Gas-liquid slip rings are used for transmitting liquids and air, requiring high precision and tightness in the manufacture of components. Electrical slip rings are capable of transmitting electric power and signals, supporting the transmission of more than 30 different types of signals. Different sizes of electrical slip rings show significant differences in service life and electrical performance due to differences in friction pair and other structural elements.
In the JINPATslipring product line, the through-hole slip ring is a strategic product widely applied in various large-scale equipment. With the popularization of automation and electromechanical integration in the industry, common computer signals such as USB and Ethernet have long been integrated into slip rings. However, due to the limitations of the through-hole design, signals such as USB 3.0, HDMI and DP cannot be transmitted through this type of slip ring. In contrast, Ethernet signals with their unique signal characteristics are most often found in through-hole slip rings. As a well-established slip ring manufacturer with more than 20 years of industry experience, JINPAT has customized nearly a thousand slip rings for through-hole Ethernet signal transmission.
JINPAT demonstrates exceptional technical capabilities in the field of Ethernet signal slip rings, especially in terms of the maximum supported aperture. In through-hole slip rings, signal transmission is closely related to the size of the through-hole. Currently, JINPAT’s 100Mbps Ethernet slip rings support data transmission with a maximum aperture of 300mm, while their 1Gbps Ethernet slip rings can transmit data with a maximum aperture of 180mm. As JINPAT continues to improve its products and technologies, it is expected that these figures will be further surpassed in the future, leading to even larger apertures for through-hole Ethernet slip rings.
JINPAT ships a large number of Ethernet signal slip rings every month. Among these products, in addition to the capsule Ethernet slip rings specially designed for monitoring devices, most are hollow shaft series Ethernet slip rings. For example, the latest product introduced, LPT038-02E3, is a through-hole slip ring without a power ring that integrates only two channels of 1Gbps Ethernet signals.
