SDI signal slip rings are used in photographic equipment to transmit high-definition SDI (Serial Digital Interface) video signals in various photographic devices. SDI is a widely used interface in the professional video industry, capable of transmitting high-quality uncompressed video signals over coaxial cables. SDI signal slip rings ensure smooth transmission of video signals between rotating components of photographic equipment, such as stabilizers, camera gimbals, camera cranes and other motorized devices.

Compared to HDMI and DP high-definition video signals, which require dedicated cables for transmission, SDI high-definition video signals are transmitted using coaxial cables, which are less expensive and have relatively simpler impedance matching issues than the first two cable types.

It uses the shape of the standard LPC-24A slip ring and integrates two 10A power rings, four other signal rings, and one channel to transmit 3G-SDI high-definition video signals with a resolution of 1080P@60Hz.
