In the era where everyone has access to information distribution channels, each person has a channel to publish video or text information, which has led to the emergence of many industries and employment opportunities, and stimulated the development of many industries. For example, in the early stages of filming, a lot of imaging equipment was needed, and some larger devices required additional stabilizing functions such as handheld gimbals, drones, and camera manipulators to increase stability and range of motion. After using these auxiliary equipment, the camera can shoot more footage. These auxiliary devices can be equipped with a high-definition SDI video signal slip ring.

Many of these solutions are specially designed for high-definition video signal transmission. Among the slip rings developed by JINPAT that can transmit high-definition video signals, some use HDMI or DP computer high-definition video signals to transmit. These types of high-definition video signals require special cables for transmission, and in addition to the complexity of development, the production cost is also high.

Compared with HDMI and DP high-definition video signals that require corresponding cables for transmission, SDI high-definition video signals use coaxial cables. The cost of coaxial cables is lower than that of HDMI and DP cables, and the difficulty of impedance matching is also relatively simple compared with the use of the former two types of cables. Therefore, many of the high-definition video signal slip rings developed by JINPAT are SDI signal slip rings. Moreover, many signals output by photographic equipment can be transmitted directly by coaxial cables, so the adaptability of SDI signal slip rings is relatively high.

So, what are some typical SDI signal input slip ring products developed for auxiliary photographic equipment? First, let’s take a look at a product developed by JINPAT for professional stabilizers, which has the model number LPC-24A-0210-4S-HDO1. This product uses the standard LPC-24A slip ring shape to design, integrates two 10A power rings, 4 other signal rings, and 1 channel to transmit 3G-SDI high-definition video signals with a resolution of 1080P @ 60Hz.

In addition to stabilizers, photography brackets also have slip rings for SDI high-definition video signals. The relatively typical JINPAT products designed for this are the LPM-30B-24S-HD01 and LPM-06A-HD01. The video transmission rate of these two products is slightly lower and they can only transmit 1080P video signals at 30Hz, which means that the signals transmitted by these slip rings are HD-SDI format high-definition video signals.
